I recently purchased the Aiper Scuba S1, and I must say, I'm thoroughly impressed. Firstly, I have to commend Aiper's customer service – they're incredibly responsive and accommodating. I’ve never had such a positive experience with customer service as I have with them - Truly amazing and absolutely needs to be noted that their products ARE worth buying solely on such supportive and helpful customer service representatives.Now, onto the Scuba S1 itself. This isn't my first dive into the world of robotic pool cleaners, but it's certainly the best experience I've had so far. Compared to my previous Seagull Pro, the S1 excels at reaching corners and tackling even the tiniest particles of sand and dirt. I’ve been apprehensive about trying the new track system but our last cleaner was heavy and bulky, so it was time to try something new and I’m honestly impressed. The tracks are sturdy and easily maneuvers the robot effortlessly across the pool.Maintenance is a breeze with the (gray) Scuba S1 – it's lightweight and easy to clean. Plus, shipping was surprisingly fast, which is always a bonus. I was particularly pleased with its ability to clean the pool walls thoroughly. The suction power seems to be great as I’ve watched particles nearby get sucked up when the robot was passing by. The basket in the Scuba S1 is my favorite!! It’s sturdy and I really like and prefer this design of the basket over the Seagull Pro’s basket. A true win, in itself right there.
As for performance, I have a sizable 30,000-gallon pool in an L shape, and the Scuba S1 manages to clean it all on a single charge. Overall, I couldn't be happier with my purchase – it's efficient, effective, and truly takes the hassle out of pool maintenance.I bought the 2022 “upgraded version”, 1000 in August of 2022 and used the vacuum for two months of the summer season end. I got it out to use upon opening my pool this year, used it three times only, and noticed it didn’t stay charged for 90 minutes in the pool anymore and now I went to use it today and it appears that the motor is shot, the port area does not charge, the switch light does not turn on when turned to the “on” position and I almost cut my fingers trying to open the cover with those pointy plastic sides underneath; not to mention the handle to get the machine out of the water is flush with the cover which makes it quite difficult to lift out of a pool.
What is shocking (and adds insult to injury) is that I can see their now “upgraded 2023 model” (I can see why) and all of my issues mentioned now seem to be addressed with this “newer version”; yet I’m out over $300, and Amazon tells me today to contact the seller. Don’t bother calling the seller during their advertised hours either as they do not pick up and you get a run around message that also has a foreign language that comes in to the message line too (that sounds Chinese). I’ve now emailed this company as this is a warranty issue and a product defective issue that I want resolved immediately.
I should not have to be inquiring about the safety snd warranty of this product when the machine hasn’t even been used that many times and should be of quality for the price charged.
What will be wrong then on the new 2023 model, which requires you to get a 2024 model in order to be safe and have a functioning machine.Buyer beware.We bought this product last summer and were quite happy with it. End of summer we stored as directed, in a clean, dry, temperature controlled place in our home. Get it out this summer and the battery is dead and will not charge. Contact with seller states we can return with a shipping label and notify them once sent. Again, we followed instruction and returned the unit that seller said would be replaced with a refurbished unit. Once returned, seller notified us they had no refurbished units, so we could take a $100. Credit or wait for a refurbished unit to become available. We are now in August and have not received anything. Basically we paid $500.+ dollars for approximately 5 weeks of use. I would not recommend doing business with this company.
